    it’s breathtaking! very inspirational Keir!

In reply to - Keir Winesmith posted an update: I know it’s a bit late for inspiration, but I nosed around Vivid live last night and it reminded me of the best example of projection mapping I’ve seen in ages. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLrt7-kIgIM behind the scenes video of Amon Tobin stage and projection. This is mostly relevant for the Featherlight group, [...] · View

That would be amazing. Thanks so much for checking up for me! I really appreciate it :) See you on Thursday!

In reply to - Martin Tomitsch posted an update in the group Featherlight: Hi Stephanie, Rob and I had a chance to speak to Matt, our building manager this afternoon. He suggested to build a stand for the projector and use a short-throw projector, so we can keep it close to the screen. We should go and see him next Thursday [...] · View

ThumbnailWe are in experimentation phase and are beginning to play around with Perlin Noise and Brownian motion and thinking about ways of integrating these algorithms into our code. Brownian motion creates a metamorphic growth which is perfectly matched with our concept in regards to the silhouette growing into an artwork as a reward for stopping and [...]

ThumbnailFrom my grounding research I extrapolated themes that I could then translate into my objectives which are listed below: I want to… -  create a sustainable cultural communication format in the public space; -  develop a long term relationship and identification between the pedestrian and the media facade and his/her environment; -  accommodate chance; -  make the work open to interaction; [...]

ThumbnailThe visual language of architecture is being redefined due to the influx of techinical advances . These advances are exemplified in the media facade kinetic displays.  There is still a lot of experimentation required to determine the full potential of these artistic displays and the repercussions of unleashing them on society. I feel that it is [...]

Another great aspect of Quartz Composer is the Vjing plugins available. One example I was looking at was the CoGe plugin. It is a free, open-source application!! With this program you are able to sync videos precisely so that your video projections can be seamless. The site offers patches to use in Quartz Composer to enhance the Vjing experience. Moreover, with the CoGe plug in you can build and use your own media handlers, effects, mixer and automatization modules.

One of the great aspects of Vjing is that it is a form of remixing and it is an activity that breathes new life into a finished work. It offers a myriad of artistic opportunities – Vjing projections are determined according to personal tastes so the visual experience can be pushed in unexpected ways.

http://campar.in.tum.de/Chair/ProjectKinectMagicMirror   The X-ray glasses that have long been anticipated by the perverted men of society seem to finally be making their way into realization. From the video demonstration of the Augmented Reality Mirror I begin to understand the potential of this program. There seems to be a peephole into the internal skeletal structure that preserves [...]
